Cobblestone Arts Center is a non-profit Arts organization that was formed to promote visual and performing arts in the rural community. Since then we have expanded our programs to include inner-city students at-risk, persons with disabilities, impoverished youths, pre-schoolers, and senior citizens. It is also our unique mission to let Art be the force that breaks through prejudices and stereotypes, that nurtures the soul, and brings happiness to each individual.
Created By Us specializes in painting parties for people with disabilities. The parties are designed to increase independence and comfort within the community. Our warm, welcoming and patient staff makes Created By Us a fun place to be!
We help those with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and mental health issues build cultural, technological, social, everyday living and financial literacy skills through arts interaction. Our non-profit school's education programs are certified by the Office. of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, Finger Lakes DDSO and the NYS Dept. of Health. We hold a recognition letter from the NYS Education Dept.
The Gymnastics Training Center offers a Special Needs Program that includes year-round training & competition in Special Olympics for boys and girls of all ages. A program for the blind and visually impaired has recently been added. GTC believes all disabilities can be turned into possibilities through participation in gymnastics.
This therapeutic riding program benefits children and adults with developmental disabilities via interaction with specially trained horses, with nationally certified instructors and experienced volunteers. Riders enjoy safe lessons which cater to their distinct needs. 13-acre site includes 65 x 120' indoor arena, mounting ramp, viewing area, 12 horse stalls, accessible tack room and 100 x 190' outdoor riding ring.
