Special Needs Programs include child care referrals (including confirmed vacancy checks) , technical assistance for parents and caregivers plus caregiver access to loaned equipment/toys specifically designed for special needs children. The Council is your community resource for all early care and education issues, programs and business start-up.

Daystar for Medically Fragile Children is a nursing supervised day and respite program for children up to 5 years of age. The Daystar for Medically Fragile Children home is specifically designed to support families whose vulnerable babies require care above and beyond the capabilities of traditional child care. Open Mon.- Fri. from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

Care for infants/toddlers, preschool, pre-k, full-day kindergarten, wrap-around care and school-age summer program. Staff is trained to empower and celebrate children of all abilities. Teachers stay with same group of children through age 3; internet monitoring helps parents be part of their child’s day; fingerprint recognition enhances security. The center is on the Pieters Family Life Center campus.
