Genesee Valley Parent Magazine WINS top honors for web site at the Annual Parenting media association Conference!

 

Genesee Valley Parent Magazine is excited to share awesome news that GVParent.com won one of the three top honors for web site General Excellance that Parenting Media Association (PMA) gave out at their annual banquet on March 3, 2012 -- the climax of the three-day PMA Annual Convention in San Antonio. PMA’s Editorial and Design Awards Competition recognizes excellence in journalism, photography and design achieved by publishers, editors, writers and designers at member publications. A panel of judges from the University of Missouri School of Journalism reviewed entries from member publications to choose the winners in each category. 

 

This award demonstrated the hard work of the GVP staff, graphics designer Matt Peltier and the countless readers and supporters who provided input to meet the needs of area parents.

“ There are a number of good elements to this site and we found ourselves spending a lot of time on the site. One element, however, stands out. Calendars are hot components on these sites and GVP has a very nice design for its calendar. Each item also has a pop up window with more information. The content is localized, with local/regional journalists; good mix of fresh and archive content, providing a lot of content for the user..”
