Bruleed banana waffles

 

Frozen waffles are fine in a hurry, but for a special weekend treat try these- they’re easy, sweet and delicious.

 

 

  Banana waffles

Ingredients

 

  • 2 ¼ c Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt
    ¼ c instant oatmeal
    1 c buttermilk
    4 T canola oil
    1 large egg
    ⅔ c all-purpose flour
    ¼ c cornstarch
    2 t baking powder
    ½ t baking soda
    ¾ t kosher salt
    4 bananas, halved and chopped
    ¾ c orange juice
    ¼ c toasted, slivered almonds

 

 

 

Directions

                               

1) Mix ¼ c Chobani with oatmeal. Add buttermilk, oil and egg.


2) Mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine with Chobani mixture. Cook in a greased waffle iron.


3) Brown bananas in a greased nonstick pan over medium heat for 2 min. Flip, add orange juice, cook 30 seconds.


4) Serve over waffles with more Chobani and almonds.
