Rochester Fencing Club
The Rochester Fencing Club established as the Rochester Fencing Centre in 1981, has had a thirty year history in the city of Rochester. Recently, in August of 2009, Olympians and Rochesterians Felicia and Iris Zimmermann purchased the Rochester Fencing Club. Felicia and Iris Zimmermann both grew up in Rush, NY and attended the Rochester Fencing Club growing up. Their experience at the club put Felicia on two Olympic teams ’96 and ’00 and put Iris on the ’00 team with her sister. Through their fencing accomplishments they both earned a full-athletic scholarship to attend Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
We pride ourselves in being a top notch fencing school with an emphasis on providing excellent instruction. Many of students (kids to adults) enjoy the challenge of a sport that has been called "physical chess". If you are looking for something that is challenging both physically and mentally, we would love to meet you. Please stop by our club during regular business hours and see what our club is all about.
