Gymnastics Training Center

The Gymnastics Training Center of Rochester, Inc., in Penfield offers several outstanding programs in a 22,000 sq. foot, state-of-the-art facility by a highly qualified staff. The philosophy is "Safety First, Last and Always" and the staff is dedicated to educating students in a safe, fun atmosphere.

Sarah Jane Bernhardt-Clifford, a graduate of Ithaca College and a gymnastics instructor since 1972, operates the business. She began competing in gymnastics in 1968. Her 40 years of ongoing experience has enabled her to become one of 30 individuals in America chosen by USA Gymnastics to teach the National Safety Certification Program. She became a gymnastics judge in 1976 and is nationally certified by the National Assoc. of Women's Gymnastics Judges. A variety of programs are offered at GTC.

Fit By Five Preschool is a progressive program for children 2-5 years old that infuses academics with physical activity. Gymnastics classes are offered for toddlers through adulthood, ranging from a beginner level to a Team Program for both boys and girls. Cheerleading and Special Olympics classes are also offered. The Botsford School of Dance, located in the GTC facility, is a highly respected and prestigious dance program in the Rochester area for more than 80 years.
