The Seneca Park Zoo: The Natural Place for Families
By Jill Egmond

Where can you see some of the biggest, prettiest, messiest and most glorious animals? The Seneca Park Zoo! You might get to see the endangered Amur tiger siblings playing, a blackhanded spider monkey swinging around, some friendly sea lions showing off or a polar bear splashing about. Don't forget the slithering Asian rock python and Dumeril's Ground boa.
There are green iguanas, gila monsters (they are venomous members of the lizard species) and of course, lizards, frogs and turtles. If you take a look up you might see the majestic Bald Eagle perched on branch, the night patron Great horned owl, the strong king vultures or maybe, just maybe, you be able to have a little conversation with a Red-lored Amazon parrot. If you are lucky you will be there for a celebration of one of the Zoo Animal's Birthday! Plus, you can now check out the African blackfooted penguin exhibit that has just been reopened.
While you are at the Zoo, there are places to stop, sit and look at some nearby animals. There is food onsite and of course drinks to keep you well hydrated. There is a play area for the little ones to run around a bit, with benches nearby for parents.
The Seneca Park Zoo has something for everyone, so bring the whole family and get in touch with your animal instincts.
