To Market to Market: Spicing up the Season at The Rochetser Public Market

The Rochester Public Market is an amazing place to go with the family. They were recently named America's Favorite Farmers Market by the American Farmland Trust, and with all the activities, fresh foods, and family fun, it is clear why they received this prestigious award.













Throughout the year there are many special events at the Market including Community Garage Sale and Super Flea Days (April through October), Chef's Day where guest chefs will share recipes (May through October), Flower City Markets Days (May), and Bands on the Bricks (Fridays in July and August.) Not to mention, in September there is the Women's Health Fair, Artists Row where there are 180 local artists, Savor Rochester – a Festival of Foods with foods from 150 different restaurants, and the Harvest Jamboree and Country Fair where they are bring the country to the city with pumpkin painting and wagon rides.

For the Winter Holiday Season the Rochester Public Market has everything you need and more. You will, of course, find wonderful fresh, local foods, but also the Market's very own winter wonderland including sleigh rides, a children's craft corner and a chance to meet the big man himself, Santa. While you're there you can check out the largest collection of trees and holiday greenery in Western New York. Or try your hand at the Holiday Cookie Contest where you can just drop off your tasty creations for the judging.
