Discovering fun at the Milton J. Rubenstein

Ever been inside a cave? What about a human heart? At the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (commonly abbreviated MOST), visitors can explore these places & more with MOST's variety of interactive & hands-on science exhibits.

Exhibits and Special Events:
Life Sciences – Ongoing
Explore the inside of a huge replica of a human heart or check out the giant model of the brain while learning about how these organs and other body systems function. This hands-on exhibit for all ages demonstrates the remarkable intricacy of the human body.

Discovery Cave – Ongoing
Become a spelunker without ever leaving the Earth's surface with MOST's realistic cave model. Surrounded by running water and cool temperatures, visitors learn about cave geography and geology. Check out the giant media globe or working waterfall during your explorations. Routes for varying ages and comfort levels are available.

Science Playhouse – Ongoing
Stretching a full five floors, MOST's Science Playhouse is full of action from floor to ceiling. Kids climb through the giant maze and explore the activities within, which incorporate various scientific principles like sound waves and trajectory.

Located in Syracuse, MOST features exhibits that range in subject matter from the human body to outer space. Life Sciences features giant models of the heart and brain, Discovery Cave gives visitors a simulated underground experience, the Science Playhouse has five floors of climbing and activities, and Technotown wows with its giant kinetic sculpture. There's also the Telecommunications Lab, where visitors can experiment with Morse code or "fly" on the museum's flight simulator.


In addition to the exhibits, MOST contains the Dr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Silverman Planetarium and the Bristol Omnitheater, a special IMAX Dome theater that reaches six stories tall. The planetarium has regular showtimes on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15am and 3:15pm, while the Bristol Omnitheater shows both educational and current-run movies from Wednesday through Sunday.
